Alice Cooper (Vincent Furnier) started with the band The Earwigs to join a talent show Letterman´s, thet they won.

After the win they changed the name to The Spiders

Alice Cooper Band was from beginning The Nazz. They found out they need a new name when it already was another band named Nazz, and renamed themselves to Alice Cooper Band.

Vincent Furnier adopted the name Alice Cooper after brake up and continued as the artist Alice Cooper.

The theatrical shock rock show he started with is still a winning concept at stage.  

He have been called the godfather of shock rock for decades now.
